ATV Ride Safe Oklahoma Social Media
Preliminary numbers for 2022 show there were 28 serious orfatal OHV crashes on Oklahoma public roads. None of them were wearing helmets.
The American College of Surgeons has found that 50% of ATV injuries and fatalities involve children under 16, and the risk of injury is 2.5 times greater if the driver is under 16 than for drivers under 34, and 4.5 times higher for drivers ages 35-50. Helmets were worn by only 30% of patients.
The goal is to bring awareness of the importance of ATV safety through social media.
