NHTSA National Teen Driver Safety Week - Oct. 19-25, 2025

$0.00

October 19 - 25, 2025 is National Teen Driver Safety Week!

A teen’s inexperience behind the wheel makes them more susceptible to crashes, so including teen safety messaging in a traffic safety communication plan is important. Specific risk factors for teens behind the wheel include: alcohol and drug use, not wearing a seat belt, distracted driving, additional passengers, speeding, and drowsy driving.

You can find everything you need at the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website. Many communication resources come in two versions, one speaking to the teen driver and the other speaking to their parents. Also, many assets are available in English and Spanish. Use this packet in either print or social media formats to help spread the message about the dangers of impaired driving. There are even sample news releases. that you can modify and send to your local paper or news outlet.
